Meet Laura

My name is Laura Coral. I'm a senior clinical embryologist — which means I spent over a decade inside IVF laboratories doing the work that most patients never see: injecting sperm into eggs, grading quality of blastocysts, performing embryo biopsies, cryopreserving sperm, eggs and embryos, implementing new technologies, performing embryo selection, experiencing healthcare systems and laboratory teams in multiple settings.

After more than 10 years working inside IVF laboratories, I realized many patients leave treatment with unanswered questions about fertility planning, their options, their gametes, their embryos, and laboratory results.  ​I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Embryology from Monash University in Australia, one of the world's leading programs in reproductive science, and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.

Throughout my career, I keep seeing the same thing: patients going through one of the most emotionally intense experiences of their lives, tamed with a PDF of embryo grades and a short information heavy consultation.
